SET (INCLUDES THE PEACE SETTLEMENT VOLUME); Heavy - shipping will incur extra charges; Imperial octavo, red cloth boards, gilt lettering to spines & front boards, decorative sword/naval motif to spines, decorative naval/coat of arms motif to front boards in black ink, all page edges stained red, all volumes include portrait or landscape frontispiece, x+232pp (Vol. I), x+230pp (Vol. II-VIII & The Peace Settlement vol.), all volumes illus. plates + maps to prelims (Vol. VII folding map) + sketch maps, VG/VG- (light scuffing/soiling/bruising to boards - slightly moreso to final volume, moderate fraying resulting in small cracks to spine extrems of several of the volumes, moderately heavy sun-fading to spines with gilt finish to lettering on most of the spines mostly faded or in parts rubbed away, a couple of volumes slightly cocked, boards all intact with only slight, if any, shakiness - light cracking to rear gutter of Vol. VIII, light-moderate soiling to page edges, light-moderate foxing/soiling/tanning to pages/maps/plates throughout, occasionally heavy - often heavier to eps/prelims/terminals, occasional light creasing/chipping/small closed tears to page edges, with a few plates/pages partially detached but still present. Overall still a presentable and highly readable set)
