From one single pre-loved book to large collections, Hard to Find Books are always on the lookout for interesting secondhand books to buy - estates and private library collections are a specialty. There is no collection too large, and our interests cover almost every subject

If you have books to sell, we recommend you first contact our shop in Eden Terrace or Dunedin before bringing your books in.  If you have a large or unique collection of books, email us. There’s a possibility we can arrange to come and see you – within NZ and overseas.  Extensive lists are not as helpful as a brief chat about your books, so please do not go to the trouble of putting one together unless we ask you to do that.

Please Note:

~ We also buy stamp collections, certain comics, and pre-1930s postcards.
~ Please don’t bring us: Mills & Boon, most magazines (check first), Readers Digest,
   condensed books, encyclopedias, damaged books (unless rare), or outdated popular fiction.
