Octavo, half bound, marbled boards with dark blue lettering to black leather spine, six gilt decorated raised bands to spine, page edges stained red, 362pp, illus with beautiful hand-coloured plates, G+ (boards completely detached, lower 7cm of spine missing, heavy chaffing to boards, board corners, edges & spine, heavy fading to spine, owner's name in ink twice to front pastedown, some tanning to page edges, occasional light foxing, ink from all illustrations off-set to adjacent pages). Text block /contents in much much better condition than ranking given would indicate.
