SCARCE--PRESUMABLY MOST DESTROYED. 8vo, stapled illus. light card covers, 24 pp., G+ (moderate to heavy scuffing & soiling to covers, moderate bruising to edges & extrems with moderate chipping, open tears to head & tail spine extrems, spine heavily taped, adhesive residue to tp, prev ownership inscription to front cover verso, moderate to heavy tanning & soiling/foxing throughout). , George Bentley (a New Plymouth journalist) was sued for this pamphlet. Found guilty of libel in sept. 1898 he was imprisoned. The owner of the mill, Joeseph Partington was also sued and fined £200 (plus £100 costs). He was bankrupted.
